Andrew Foster CBE to help steer new system
The first Chair of Manx Care has been appointed - part of the new health and social care system being developed by government.
Andrew Foster CBE started on the role this week.
The system was borne from the Sir Jonathan Michael report of 2019.
One of the fundamental recommendations is to separate policy from delivery within the Department of Health and Social Care.
Mr Foster has previously worked in UK health and care settings, including top roles in NHS Foundation Trusts, and most recently as executive lead for leadership for NHS England.
DHSC Minister David Ashford says Mr Foster is joining the team 'as massive changes are underway and will help steer [it] through uncharted territory'.
Meanwhile, the search for a Manx Care CEO continues.
