Silver in men's triathlon
The Island has won its first medal at the 2019 NatWest Island Games.
Triathlete William Draper finished in second place in the first event of the 2019 Island Games to claim the Isle of Man’s first medal.
In a race fraught with problems, Draper recovered from a series of difficulties - including the chain coming off his bike - to secure silver in the triathlon.
There were eight male athletes representing Team Isle of Man at the event.
The women’s event, which is still ongoing, has a further two Manx competitors involved.
