Prosecutions on the Isle of Man are now being brought on behalf of the King.
The first criminal case in front of the High Bailiff – put forward by the Attorney General’s Chambers in the name of King Charles III – took place today.
Previously they’d been brought in the name of Her Majesty the Queen with prosecuting advocates appearing on behalf of the crown.
A two-minutes silence was observed at the Isle of Man Courts of Justice at 10am to pay tribute to Our Lord of Mann who died last week aged 96.
