Group will clean-up along the banks of Douglas River
Environmental group Beach Buddies will officially launch the newly formed River Buddies group today.
The first volunteer event will be held on the banks of the Douglas River near the Nunnery - but if you want to attend, the meeting point is at the Power Station end of the access road leading to the amenity site.
It will take place from 10:30 this morning until no later than midday.
River Buddies will provide all the equipment required to take part.
There will not be a volunteer event for Beach Buddies on Sunday, due to a poor weather forecast.
