DoI minister gets approval to widen access to support
Changes to two schemes designed to help first time buyers get on the property ladder have been approved.
Access to the First Home Fixed and First Home Choice initiatives has been widened in response to what the infrastructure minister has called the ‘rapidly increasing price’ of residential property.
Those attempting to buy on the latter scheme no longer have to contend with a maximum purchase price of £190,000 – something Chris Thomas says was ‘completely out of step’ with reality.
He’s also confirmed the Housing and Communities Board, which he chairs, will undertake another review in September:
