Plans for twenty properties off Johnny Watterson Lane
New homes aimed at first-time buyers could be built in Douglas if plans are given the green light.
Ellis Brown Architects is seeking approval in principle to create 20 first-time buyer properties on land off Johnny Watterson Lane.
It would be the first phase of proposed housing works in the area.
The company says current infrastructure at the site would be able to support the first phase plans.
However for the wider project, it adds, extensive infrastructure work would have to take place which would be expected to take 'quite some time'.
At the time of the application being submitted Department of Infrastructure figures said there were 283 applications on the first-time buyers register for the east.
Of those 175 listed Douglas as their first choice of location.
The application is pending consideration.
