Proud occasion for Keys members
Tynwald Day 2017 is a proud and daunting occasion for some of the 12 MHKs elected for the first time at last September's general election.
Their presence on Tynwald Hill at the centre of today's ceremony in St John's, is a point in the time-honoured occasion's history.
Tynwald members, with their partners and family, gathered on the green in finery reserved for this most public event, ahead of official proceedings.
Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson told us the annual event has a profound and unique parliamentary purpose:
Drop-in sessions on the agenda for Safeguarding Week
Police urge motorists to allow extra time on icy roads
MHK: Minister should resign if he disagrees with minimum wage policy
