Teare confirms Dependability sacked
Dependability Ltd has had its contract terminated early by the Isle of Man Government.
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare confirmed the news when faced with a number of questions on the controversial work capability assessments in Tynwald.
Last month he apologised to the court after it emerged a member of the firm's staff was not fully qualified to carry out assessments.
Mr Teare said he'd been advised by the Attorney General to say no more - he's due to make a formal statement to the court on the matter later in the sitting.
However, the minister said all fit-for-work assessments carried out by the firm on Manx residents remain valid:
