Garff MHK discusses progress made by DoI since 2019
Is enough being done to protect residents across the Island from flooding?
That’s the question being asked by Garff MHK Daphne Caine after a Tynwald answer provided insight into the work actioned by the Department of Infrastructure.
Following devastating floods in her constituency, in 2019, Mrs Caine told Manx Radio she knows of residents who face ‘daily anxiety’ because they can’t get insurance cover.
She says whilst progress is being made the sea defences need to be a priority.
More than 4,000 homes on the Isle of Man are potentially vulnerable to flooding.
