The Department of Infrastructure is warning of localised flooding today as heavy rain sweeps the Island.
Up to an inch and a half of rain is expected this afternoon, evening and overnight – meaning some roads may flood where drains are blocked.
The department says very high tides and strong winds overnight may also pose a threat to exposed coastal areas tonight.
The tide will be at its highest point at midnight, when waves and debris could wash onto promenades around the Island.
