Supermarket shoppers encouraged to help the needy
A donation drive for the Island's only food bank has generated stocks worth almost £5,000.
Volunteers from Foodbank Isle of Man were in the Douglas branch of Tesco supermarket on Friday and Saturday, encouraging shoppers to purchase extra groceries to give to the needy.
They've thanked customers for their support.
Foodbank has recently moved into bigger new premises in Tromode to account for growing demand.
Now in its fifth year of operation, the charity expects to help more than a thousand residents in need of nutrition this year.
