Facility underwent £1.2million refurbishment
A care home in the south of the Island is welcoming its first new resident from today (23 August).
Silverdale Care Home in Ballasalla - previously known as Abbotswood Nursing Home - underwent a £1.2million refurbishment which was completed in July.
Its operator, Silverdale Care Ltd. says more new admissions will be accepted at regular intervals over the coming months.
63 residents are expected to arrive there by Easter 2022.
Silverdale Care also adds strict Covid-19 policies and protocols will be in place for staff and visiting relatives.
