Talking to tenants can bring results
A former commissioners chairman says talking is good when tackling cases of potential eviction.
The charity Graih has expressed concern about the manner is which some people find themselves evicted when falling behind with rent, particularly where vulnerable people are concerned.
But Eric Kelly, formerly of Peel Commissioners, says he had used a conciliatory approach, which succeeded in cutting the town's rent arrears bill considerably:
