DESC rejects recommendation of independent report
The former education minister says she would have supported a recommendation to close eight Manx primary schools.
It's after a review into the current funding system for education on the Island said the move could save £3.6 million.
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says it does not support that recommendation.
But Julie Edge says she would have been prepared to make tough decisions when she was in charge:
