David Ashford describes claims he didn't listen to the former medical director as 'nonsense'
The former health minister says claims he ignored Dr Rosalind Ranson during her time as the Island's medical director are 'nonsense'.
David Ashford's comments come after the medic was awarded £3.2m for being unfairly dismissed for whistleblowing.
The tribunal heard Dr Ranson spoke to then-Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson about her Covid evidence not reaching Mr Ashford, and asked if she could report directly to Mr Ashford rather than through the then-Department of Health and Social Care CEO Kathryn Magson - but Mr Ashford said she must report through Miss Magson.
Despite this, Mr Ashford insists he didn't ignore Dr Ranson:
