Former Mayor of Douglas June Craine has died at the age 90.
Mrs Craine was elected in 2002 and served for a year, with her daughter Diane Flaherty as her Mayoress.
During her time in office, King Harald V of Norway and Queen Sonja were guests, and the Mayor of London Sir Gavyn Arthur bestowed Mrs Craine the Freedom of the City of London.
Mrs. Craine was an elected member to the Board of Education and was also involved with Pulrose Youth Club whilst working alongside her husband at Craine's Bakery.
Her family says her "sense of fun and energetic approach to life made her a friend to many".
