Alfred Cannan has given a statement to the court today (18 July) after asking minister Chris Thomas to step down from his role on Sunday.

Mr Thomas, who is an MHK for Douglas Central, also resigned from his position as chair of the Housing and Communities Board telling the court he had lost confidence in Mr Cannan or his Council of Ministers.
