Michelle Haywood says the personal allowance increase is 'baking in poverty'
A former minister says the Island's tax system is now 'less progressive' than the one it had before this year's Budget.
Michelle Haywood, who was dismissed from the Council of Ministers last month, was among the 10 Tynwald members to vote against government's spending plan.
Dr Haywood has been critical of the decision to increase the personal tax allowance by £2,250 for individuals without measures to specifically target low earners.
She says the move is 'baking in poverty':
