UK residents set for price rise
Electricity costs in the Island have been justified by the former chairman of the Manx Electricity Authority.
Alfred Cannan, now the Treasury Minister, says prices faced by Islanders aren't over the odds compared to European prices for the same product.
The MEA merged with the Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority to form the Manx Utilities in 2014.
Media reports in the UK suggest residents there will likely see a hike next year.
Mr Cannan says it's inevitable the Isle of Man will be affected.
