Ribbon cut on Westmoreland Road development
An £11 million project to re-develop the former Nurses Home in Westmoreland Road, Douglas has been completed.
The building has been transformed into an energy efficient 37 unit apartment block and re-named Thie Clag - which is Manx Gaelic for' clock house'.
It's the first scheme to be completed by the Manx Development Corporation - an arms length company set up and owned by government in 2021 for the re-development of brown field sites around the Island.
The ribbon cutting ceremony outside the front of the building was performed earlier today in brilliant sunshine by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer:
