FoI response shows incidents reported to police in recent years
Four spiking incidents have been reported in the Isle of Man this year.
The data, recorded between January and September, has been shared after a Freedom of Information request by Manx Radio.
The figures date back to 2013 and show the highest number of incidents was in 2017 when there was 15.
Spiking is where someone adds drugs or alcohol to another person's drink without them knowing.
Last year no instances were reported, however this year officers have seen a resurgence.
Following reports of an increase of spiking in the UK police are urging Manx residents to be vigilant of their drinks ahead of the festive period.
They advise people to have a drinking buddy to prevent any further incidents.
Police say spiking is illegal and officers will take the matter very seriously.
