Drivers stage walkout as DOI says 'constructive discussions' held
Bus services are running on a contingency schedule as drivers head out on strike once again.
It's the fourth round of industrial action staged by members of Unite the Union following an ongoing row over pay and conditions.
The Department of Infrastructure says constructive discussions have taken place this week and negotiations continue.
Manx Radio understands another meeting between the two parties is due to take place later today (Friday 20 March).
There’ll be no dedicated school buses today, but pupils can use other services with their Go Card, while trams, trains and the Steam Railway will continue to run.
Contingency timetables remain in place, with priority routes linking Douglas, Noble’s Hospital and the Island’s main towns.
Regular services are expected to resume on Tuesday (24 March).
Parking on Douglas Promenade walkway - which had been reinstated during the strike action - will be suspended from 5pm whilst Douglas Council hosts a drone display.
Parking will be reinstated afterwards, when it is safe to do so.
