Fewer customers and financial losses
It's been announced Foxdale Post Office will close down this summer.
The store's operators, Ellan Vannin Fuels, have taken the decision due to declining customer numbers and financial losses over the last three years.
Operations will cease from the end of August.
Isle of Man Post Office says it's 'disappointed', but it accepts more and more customers are carrying out their business online, reducing the demand for local branches.
It's advising anyone affected by the closure to use nearby branches in St John's or Peel.
