The Island needs more freedom of information.
That's the belief of a candidate standing in Michael in September's General Election.
David Talbot, 63, came to the Island in 1975 and became managing director of Walton's Finance before organising a management buy-out. He's also founded a charity 'Connect 2.'
Mr Talbot says there's always been mistrust between politicians and the public and government needs to provide more evidence on what's its done.
Speaking on Manx Radio, he says this is particularly true with regard to the savings made by government after the vast loss of income from the VAT sharing agreement with the UK.
