Gritting teams out 'pre-treating' main routes
Freezing conditions predicted for this evening have prompted a roads warning from government and an amber weather warning from forecasters.
Ronaldsway Met Office says temperatures will dip to between zero and minus two degrees Celsius, from 4 this afternoon until 5 tomorrow morning, with a risk of ice forming on untreated road surfaces.
Gritting teams have been deployed again this afternoon for pre-treatment of many routes, including main roads to the South, North and East of the Island.
