Regulator warns online retailer isn't based at Victoria Street address
The Island's finance regulator is warning a firm claiming to operate from an address in Douglas is potentially fraudulent.
Zeffyrshop.com claims to be based at Queen Victoria House on Victoria Street, but the Financial Services Authority says the company is not known to anyone genuinely associated to the address.
The authority says it's concerned the site may try to gain personal data to steal the identity of those who visit the site.
A company with a similar name is genuinely registered at the address, but the FSA says the two companies are in no way linked.
