Select committee recommendation to be debated
Funding for the mobile library and school services should be provided by government for the next two years while a more detailed investigation is carried out.
That's the recommendation of a select committee looking into the adequacy and funding of library provision in the Isle of Man.
Tynwald will next week be asked to support funding of £125,000 towards the services, which are provided by Family Library Limited, and the same amount to fund the library itself.
But chair of the committee MHK Clare Bettison admits government funding for the Family Library is harder to justify:
