Thomas Arthur Bawden died aged 83
The funeral service takes place today for former Clerk to the Legislative Council, and Deputy Clerk of Tynwald, Thomas Arthur Bawden.
Mr Bawden, who was 83, held the roles from 1977 until 2001.
His funeral takes place at the Royal Chapel in St John's at 12.45pm.
Meanwhile the death has been announced in Tewkesbury of former Clerk of Tynwald, Malachy Cornwell-Kelly.
Mr Cornwell-Kelly held the position between 2001 and 2008, during which time he worked closely with then Speaker of the House of Keys, Tony Brown on the modernisation of standing orders in Tynwald.
After leaving the role of Clerk of Tynwald Mr Cornwell-Kelly became the Island's first Commissioner for Administration.
His funeral takes place on Tuesday the 28th of May in Tewkesbury Abbey.
