New artistic wallpaper has been unveiled at the Gaiety Theatre as part of its 125th anniversary celebrations.
The mural features nearly 200 images supplied by performing societies and individuals connected to the theatre, supported by the Friends of the Gaiety Theatre.
It's in the Circle Bar, with the opening attended by, among others, Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer and Mervin Stokes MBE who was instrumental in the theatre's preservation.
Chair of the Friends Committee, Bill Smedley, says the mural honours “125 years of creativity, performance and shared memories” and belongs “as much to the community as it does to the theatre.”
