Minister says lots of work will continue over the festive period
The cabinet office minister says politicians will still be busy between now and the next sitting of Tynwald.
The House of Keys sat on Tuesday (17 December) for the final time in 2024 with members not meeting again until Tynwald on 21 January.
Some backbenchers were unhappy at the decision not to extend question time given the break between sittings.
But David Ashford says many members will still have lots in their diaries:

Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
Charges now in place for those sending parcels to the EU
