Crews called out to late night incident on Ballaragh Road
Fire crews were called out late last night (4 August) to a garden shed fire in Laxey.
Shortly after 11:15pm, officers from Laxey, Douglas and Ramsey stations responded to the incident on Ballaragh Road.
On arrival, crews found a fire involving the shed had also caused some damage to the house.
All persons were safely out of the property while officers extinguished the fire.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says the incident is 'a reminder of just how important working smoke detectors are, as they provide vital early warning and save lives'.
