Garff Commissioners asking residents to cut overgrown hedges

It says some houses are causing 'significant obstructions' and will be contacted

Garff Commissioners is asking residents to make sure that hedges don't obstruct roads and pavements in the parish. 

The local authority says that under legislation, property owners are legally responsible for keeping vegetation within their boundaries. 

It's also confirmed that some houses in the area are causing 'significant obstructions' and will be contacted or be served a notice 'compelling' the owner to do the work. 

The commissioners says that it's currently taking action at several properties across Garff.
