Commissioner Julie Pinson says there are issues across the parish 'every week'
Garff Commissioners will be trialling a 'dog poo warden' scheme over the next 12 months to try and combat the problem.
Board member Julie Pinson says she has had to help children who have fallen in it, as well as having to pick it up from outside her cafe.
The local authority believes it's getting 'more serious' and every week there is an 'issue' relating to dog mess across the parish.
It adds that the warden may also act as a 'deterrent'.
Mrs Pinson says the 'irresponsible' dog owners put a 'bad reputation' on those who do pick up after their pets.
