Islands Energy Group says it's due to temperatures rising
Gas customers aren't turning off their supply because the costs are rising – but because the temperatures are rising.
That's the view of the chief executive of the Islands Energy Group which owns Manx Gas.
Jo Cox gave evidence to an Economic Policy Review Committee today.
She revealed pressure had been put on Manx Gas' finances over the pandemic period because commercial businesses weren't using the same volumes of energy - in part due to staff working from home.
