Affected residents to be contacted
A gas leak has necessitated the immediate closure of sections of roads in central Douglas so emergency repairs can be carried out.
The stretch of Woodbourne Road from its junction with York Road to its junction with Albany Road has been shut, as have parts of two roads which run off it - Murray’s Road between it and Palatine Road, and Thorny Road between it and Somerset Road.
Manx Gas says all properties in the affected area will have access maintained during the road closures and all residents are being contacted today.
The road closures are in place until Sunday, 5 August.
