Decision time for hundreds of students
It’s GCSE results day, and hundreds of Island students will find out their grades today as they consider further education or joining the world of work.
But as well as the start of their journeys, it’s also the beginning of the end of the qualifications they’ve just sat.
The Isle of Man is to phase out many GCSE subjects from this year, replacing them with the exam’s international version.
Paul Craine from the Department of Education and Children says it’ll be a gradual process:
Bus driver dispute resolved, government confirms
New board appointed at IOM Meats
Cruise ship season about to start
King Orry statue plans given the go-ahead after appeal dismissed
Bus drivers vote to accept latest pay offer
