Minister calls for consultation
If there's an unfair gender pay gap in the Isle of Man, government will legislate against it.
That promise from the policy and reform minister - he says it'll be tackled on two fronts; the long-awaited Equality Bill, and in the Sex Discrimination Act.
New UK rules have prompted thousands of private sector companies to come clean on their stats there.
Manx statistics can be found in the recently released census, and the annual 'Isle of Man in Numbers' - which was published last week.
Chris Thomas says we need to do more research here by consultation to see if there's a need to follow suit:
DHSC looking to 'map clear way forward' over bed shortages
Strike off process against companies with out-of-date information starts
DEFA reviewing governance and operational structure at abattoir
More roadworks planned for busy Douglas route
Ballaugh Commissioners says small authorities 'disregarded' over NCASĀ
