Firm had admitted lapse in workplace safety standards
A company has been committed to a Court of General Gaol after admitting a charge connected to a fatal accident.
UK specialist firm Tuke and Bell Ltd pleaded guilty to a lapse in workplace safety standards following the death of Gareth Sowden in May 2013.
The 55-year-old mechanical engineer was working on a sewage treatment project in Kirk Michael.
He suffered fatal injuries after he was trapped under a shipping container.
Jayne Hughes committed Tuke and Bell Ltd to sentencing at the Court of General Gaol Delivery at its next sitting, on July 24.
