Learn about history at Manx Museum
One of the most significant events in the Island's social and political history will be the subject of a public lecture this afternoon (Sat 7).
A hundred years ago, on the 3 July 1918, a general strike took place across the Island - and historian Dr John Callow will bring the event to life at the Manx Museum, a century later.
Dr Callow says the seriousness of the strike 'should not be understated'.
The Manx Museum lecture theatre doors open at 1.30pm this afternoon, for a 2pm start.
