Lidl GB planning to open 50 more stores in 2027 but no sign of a shop here yet
The British branch of a German supermarket say it has 'noted interest' in the Isle of Man.
However, there's no sign of Lidl planning to open a shop here anytime soon.
The branch recently became UK's fifth largest grocer after overtaking Morrisons.
Lidl GB currently operates with more than 1,000 stores and has plans to open 50 more in 2027.
A spokesperson for the supermarket told Manx Radio: "At Lidl GB, we are always open to exploring new opportunities to bring our low-cost, high-quality products to more consumers.
"This includes the Isle of Man, where we have noted recent interest, and we will continue to review any potential sites that meet our requirements."
