Lieutenant Governor performs ceremony
An enclosure for two of the Curraghs Wildlife Park’s newest inhabitants was opened by the Lieutenant Governor yesterday.
Silvery gibbons Slamet and Nakula were brought to the park in July.
It was after the Aspinall Foundation and the Javan Primates Conservation Project selected the park to join a breeding programme for the endangered animals.
Sir Richard Gozney became aware of the animals during previous postings in Indonesia but never got to see them, as he told James Davis:
