Guide leaders hope badge has 'ripple effect' on others
Manx Girlguides are striving to save the environment for the next generation, with a new Biosphere badge.
They'll be planting trees, volunteering with charities like Beach Buddies and spreading the message to use less plastic, to achieve the badge.
For all members from the youngest in Rainbows to the oldest in Rangers, it was created to install in the girls a sense of responsibility for their communities.
Residential Advisor for Girlguiding on the Island, Katie Dison, hopes the badge will effect people outside of the organisation:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
Plans submitted for 85 new homes on former Buchan School site
