Works to get underway next week
Work to improve drainage and reduce the future flooding risk in Laxey will get underway later this month.
Upgrades to the surface water drainage system will begin on Glen Road from 24 February, increasing its capacity.
The Department of Infrastructure will keep the road open during the duration of the works, but temporary traffic lights will be in place in the area.
It's expected the project will be completed within two weeks, although this may be extended if weather conditions are poor.
A letter explaining the details of the work and traffic restrictions will be delivered to all residents nearby this week.
The improvements come following flooding on Glen Road in October last year.
