Area damaged by floods in October
Glen Road in Laxey will be open over the Christmas period following work to repair flood damage.
The area was affected by heavy rain at the start of October, resulting in damage to homes nearby.
The project has reached the stage where the site is watertight, allowing the route to be reopened for the next fortnight.
A supervising engineer will be visiting Glen Road throughout the holiday and will liaise with Ronaldsway Met Office.
Work to repair the river wall and reconstruct the road will resume on 6 January.
