Manx Wildlife Trust opposes plans
A conservationist says proposals to develop Glen Truan golf course into a luxury complex would threaten the ecology of a nearby nature reserve.
Chief executive of the Manx Wildlife Trust, Tim Graham says habitats and bird life in the Ayres would suffer greatly from the knock-on effects of development if plans get the greenlight.
Island-based businessman John Morphet of Pure Leisure Group has submitted proposals to build 55 holiday and residential homes at the golf course in Bride.
The Trust has already lodged an objection to the plans.
Mr Graham told Manx Radio it was clear the proposed complex would affect the area's wildlife:
