High Bailiff tells 28-year-old to pay off outstanding fines
A Glen Vine man’s been told to pay more than £900 in outstanding fines immediately, or go to jail.
Twenty-eight-year-old Keith Darren O’Sullivan of Ballagarvey Road appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
Prosecution advocate Rebecca Cubbon said she would formally withdraw a charge of fraud by false representation after O’Sullivan accepted a caution.
But after hearing O’Sullivan hadn’t paid a penny towards fines from previous convictions and warrants had been issued, Mrs Hughes ordered him to pay the £930 he owed forthwith or go to prison for 56 days.
