The former MHK behind a new law to implement an 'opt-out' organ donation system on the Island says it's good to see the legislation progressing.
From tomorrow the option to register for donation will be removed from the driving licence application process.
Instead Manx residents can declare their decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register.
Martyn Perkins' Organ Donation and Human Tissue Bill received royal assent from Tynwald last July during his tenure as a Garff MHK.
Despite being voted out of the House of Keys in September he says he's still keen to push for the new law:
