Policy and Reform Minister says integrated approach needed
Infrastructure, safety and motivation need to be considered before the Manx government introduces a 'bike to work scheme'.
That's the view of Policy and Reform Minister, Chris Thomas.
In response to a question by MHK Lawrie Hooper during the House of Keys this morning (7 Mar) the Minister said government departments are investigating ways of encouraging active transport.
Benefits for those willing to cycle to work were included in part of the latest Manx Budget.
Mr Thomas says an integrated approach would be needed before introducing a cycle to work scheme:
Plans submitted for 'significant' flood defences in Ramsey
Tributes paid to cancer awareness campaigner
Police bail for two people arrested in Ramsey incident
WCAS to extend opening hours next month
