MHK claims CoMin created 'lucrative sideline'
MHKs have questioned how much money government was making from Covid-19 testing during the pandemic.
A Council of Ministers paper, from July last year, shows the Department of Health and Social Care was set to generate £5.4 million from returning travellers paying £50 for PCR tests.
At last week’s Public Accounts Committee Chair Juan Watterson claimed it appeared that CoMin had created a 'lucrative sideline'.
Health Minister David Ashford denied this despite being pressed by fellow committee member Lawrie Hooper:
