Ann Corlett discusses plans for population growth and the need to close 'loopholes' in the system
Government might not be targeting 'the right people' in its bid to attract new residents to the Island.
That's from Douglas Central MHK Ann Corlett - the political member for the Department for Enterprise with responsibility for the Locate strategy.
Early in this administration government discussed plans to grow the Island's population to 100,000 but has recently distanced itself from that aim.
Meanwhile Mrs Corlett admits it can be difficult to know who the Island needs to add to its workforce and says so-called 'loopholes' in the immigration system should be closed 'as soon as possible':
